OBSERVATION
Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord…

• The account of Zechariah is filled with signs and wonders about the Lord’s coming (the day of the Lord). And Zechariah is baffled by all the signs—what does this mean? And how about the horses, the two beings, and the trees. And what did you say about the lamps? And the eyes?
• The Lord rejects the Accuser’s statements and says to the high priest, Jeshua – I have taken away your sins and now I am giving you these fine new clothes…
• Nothing will stand in the way of building my temple.

 
 
INTERPRETATION
The Lord says to Zechariah, You will not have to rely just on your strength to rebuild the temple. In fact, I am going ahead of you and will be there the whole time. You will have my help every step of the way. I have forgiven your sins, I will give you all you need, even faith to remove mountains that stand in your path.
 
QUESTION
What is my next step? Will I go forward as Christ asks?  Will I accept God’s word when he promises to encourage me, to give me help, to even remove mountains. With faith and in the power of the Holy Spirit, I will not fear any challenges along the way.
 
PRAYER
Dear Lord God, grant me courage to follow you into all situations and to not be afraid of people who may challenge me along the way.
