Rev. Merv Lanctot
Honorary Assistant My wife Susan and I return to where Ordained ministry began. We first came to St Aidans as lay folks in the late 1980’s. I was ordained in the Diocese of Ontario and after serving as the Assistant Curate at St. George’s Cathedral in Kingston returned to St Aidans from 1996-2000 as the Priest Associate. Moving on from St Aidans, I was the Rector of numerous churches in the Diocese of Ontario, Maine, and finally retiring from a church here in Winnipeg. They say Priests seldom retire, well that I guess is me. In retirement, I have served in several interim positions in Chatham, Ontario and then St Andrews on the Red here in this Diocese. Thinking I was retired retired was soon short lived as I serve again here at St Aidans. It is home for us and after a short visit with the parish, you too will express: YOU are Home!
