Instructional Eucharist: November 18
In this service we are going to participate in what is called “An Instructed Eucharist.” For those of you new to the Anglican Church, we hope this will be helpful in understanding why Anglicans do what they do in worship. For others, even “Cradle Anglicans” this may be a refresher or may even provide a new understanding of certain aspects of our worship together. Follow along by using the PDF below.

Carole Pollard was always involved in church ministry, mostly in music and planning worship. Before she came to St Aidan's, a question about the children’s program in her church prompted a new focus. That is the story she will share on Wednesday night at our Real Lives Service (online only); a story she calls “Surprised by God.”

God provides and shelters His New Beginnings. This week we hear from Charlotte Holland as she reviews for us the first 10 years of St Aidan's Christian School's history--its founding, fragile beginning and the Lord's sustaining grace. Today, after 25 years, the school has 2 campuses in Winnipeg's North End and provides Christian education to nearly 150 students.

Real Lives Service with Jyoti Kapoor - July 8
Jyoti Kapoor was born and raised in the West End of Winnipeg. Her family is of Hindu background, but she came to Christ at the age of 13 and had attended a couple of different churches over the years until she became a member of City Church of Winnipeg in 2011. She started out as a Young Adult leader and also volunteered by taking on some administrative tasks for the church. In May of 2015, she became the Administrative Assistant of City Church, and the position expanded greatly with the opening of Naomi House in October 2017, for which she is also the Admin and the Volunteer Coordinator. God has blessed her richly in giving her the opportunity to serve in this capacity and show His love to those who call Naomi House home.

God’s Story, Our Story: John’s Story
The testimony of John Schaffner
Originally from Arkansas, John Schaffner first came to Winnipeg to do youth ministry in the summer of 1996 and fell in love with the city.
"Winnipeg is a special place and we are praying for God to move in our city, especially in the wake of this pandemic," he says.
John spent over ten years working in university ministry in the States before returning to Winnipeg in 2016. He and his wife, Amy, have three children: Sadie, Jack, and Walt. John received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana Tech and a Masters of Divinity degree from the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary in Cochrane, Alberta.
