And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10: 24-25
At St Aidan’s we believe that small groups are an indispensable part of the life of each individual believer in Christ and of the life of each local church. Small groups provide an environment where the essential life and heartbeat of the church is found, as we serve together, support one another in love, reach out to the community, and grow in our knowledge and love of God and our gifting to serve him.
When we meet in small groups we look to follow the example of Jesus, who was often found ministering in small groups and homes, and the early church in Acts, who met in homes and small gatherings to worship in the power of the Holy Spirit. Following the biblical example set forth in Acts 2:42, we see four fundamental aspects to small groups which enrich our walk as followers of Christ.
At St Aidan’s we have many small groups established in the church of all shapes and sizes. Our desire is to help every member and visitor to our church find a home within a small group.
