Holy week services

There is no more glorious words than those spoken on Easter morning: Hallelujah! He is Risen! He is Risen indeed!  Hallelujah!

However, we first traverse through a season called Lent. Our journey began on Ash Wednesday and for some 40 days have examined spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, study, solitude and meditating on God's word!  But then comes Holy Week; and we will dramatize the events of Jesus’ last few days leading up to His death and resurrection. We will turn to the Passion Narrative, the heart of each of the Gospels, and the stories will fill our liturgy.
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday and ends with the Triduum (from the Latin Triduum Sacrum, meaning three sacred days). The Triduum begins with the celebration of Holy Communion on Maundy Thursday and ends with the Easter celebrations. This Lenten Season we will have travelled from  ashes to fire, from death to resurrection! What a Drama!
This Easter season, you are invited to take part in the drama of Holy Week. Each service building on the next, it begins with a Palm Sunday Service, a Maundy Thursday Service, Good Friday Services and a wondrous Easter Morning Service!
We often see signs around the countryside each Christmas season: Jesus is the reason for the season. Well, there would be no baby in the manger if there was not a cross at Calvary, and the wondrous Joy of Resurrection!
Hallelujah!  He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! Hallelujah!
