St. Aidan’s Christian School

Building a strong foundation for the future.

Life is all about discovery

The Basics

We follow the Manitoba curriculum so students can master the basics:

  • English language arts

  • Mathematics

  • Science

  • Social studies

  • Physical education

The basics are essential, but new skills and experiences enrich healthy development.

We believe in a Healthy Community

  • Healthy minds - the curriculum builds a solid academic foundation for the future.

  • Healthy bodies - our phys.ed. program builds physical well-being, while carefully prepared snacks and lunches provide good nutrition.

  • Healthy relationships - respect for adults and classmates is vital to maintaining a peaceful and positive atmosphere.

  • Healthy hearts - our focus is on Jesus Christ and his love and power to transform our inner lives and fill us with purpose.

Learning Experience

Together with St. Aidan’s Church and our community partners, we provide a broad learning experience which includes:

  • Recreation games in Inner City Youth Alive’s new gym

  • Farm visits for classes in a beautiful natural setting

  • Dance lessons with Masterworks Studio

  • Industrial arts at Niji Mahkwa School

  • Brass instrument lessons

  • Visits to ICYA’s Gem Lake Camp

Commitment

St. Aidan’s Christian School and inner City Youth Alive (ICYA) are committed to a partnership that meets the educational, social, emotional and spiritual needs of our students.

Our staff is committed to the education and training of the students.

Experienced teachers, educational assistants and volunteers provide a variety of learning opportunities and high-quality instruction.

Student success also depends on a commitment from parents and guardians to encourage students to:

  • attend school regularly;
  • behave respectfully;
  • take responsibility for their behaviour;
  • develop good learning habits.
